I recently became aware of the Crusaders Equestrian Team, a Non-profit Christian Organization. What do they do? They focus on using their passion for horses and horse riding to make the world a better place. I love this idea!
Want to know more? A part of the mission statement on the Crusaders’ website indicates:
We are a non-profit Christian charity horse team. We believe that through our strong beliefs, excellent horses, and the will to do good, we can make a difference in this crazy world!
We use rodeos and grand entries along with parades to promote the charities and causes that we believe in.
There are so many ways we can impact this world with horses. I love the idea of the Crusaders and using their passion for riding to reach others. Perhaps such a set up is of interest to you to take part in, or even create yourself?
If you’re in the United States and keen to check out the Crusaders Equestrian Team, then you may want to know about their calendar. Sometimes the best way to establish a horse set up of your own, is to seek out a mentor. Who better than someone who is already doing what you desire to do?
There are many horse related organizations in the world. Often they are set up as not for profit and may require volunteers – this may be a way to gain experience and ideas for your own horse organization goals. Don’t be afraid to make yourself available as a volunteer. Often what you learn in this role is invaluable.
Attending horse events and developing contacts can only aid your horse goals. Ask questions and don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and your goals!
“There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favorite places is on the back of my horse.” – Rolf Kopfle
