I truly do love how easy it is to do a search for horse on Amazon, filter by Kindle books and then view the lowest priced – free! – ones available. The eighth book in the Farraday Country series was one of the books that came up free in my search recently. And I’m glad it did! Hannah Farraday is a young woman who is blessed to be able to do something she loves. She works with horses, focused on therapeutic riding for people with cognitive issues.
We’re introduced to Hannah as a new therapeutic program is being set up at her cousin’s place. It seems that Hannah has moved from a city job where she had developed herself in the role of therapeutic work with horses. Now she is planning to build up such a program on her cousin’s property. They just need suitable horses and clients.
Hannah (Farraday Country #8) by Chris Keniston
Hannah takes one of the possible horses out for a ride and finds herself thrown from the horse. It got spooked by a motor bike. The rider is concerned about her fall and insists on seeing her home safely.
Dale Huebner is wanting to lie as low as possible. But when he causes Hannah to be thrown from her horse, he finds himself caught up in the Farraday household. It’s easy to get drawn into their laid back nature, great sense of humour and incredible cooking. Still, Dale makes his leave as soon as he can…. only to find himself at a B and B run by someone in the family.
The best laid plans don’t always come to fruition. As Dale makes to leave the town that he’d only planned to stop in overnight, a health issue forces him to stay.
Hannah is an interesting horse story with some mystery, a hint of a romance and the great topic of using horses to help people heal. A great read. Interested in checking out this series? The first book is free on Chris’ author site!
