Equine Entrepreneurs

What Horse Business Idea do you Have? Photo by Cait O’Pray

Now in my head – this is me; or what I’m aiming to be. I love equine education and writing and am working towards making a residual income out of it.

For me, an entrepreneur is someone who has an idea for a product or service in an industry that they love, and they’re able to turn it into a profitable income whilst educating people on the benefits of it. This blog is to help people to develop their ideal equine career, and in a way, this is exactly what Melody at Equine Entrepreneurs does.

If you have a horse business or a horse business idea and you’d like some coaching and guidance with how to make your business more effective (or how to start it in an effective manner), I encourage you to check out her site! As a bonus, if you sign up to her mailing list, you’ll receive a free pdf on Great 8 Tips for an Awesome Facebook Page.

A bit of Reshuffling

May 22, 2015 by Christine Meunier Leave a Comment

So I’ve adjusted the links up the top of the page a little, and have added in ‘Equus Education’.

My passion really is in equine related education, so I thought it was time I create a page dedicated to educational resources that I have created! And on a side note, if you want assistance in this area for your horse business, I’m only too happy to be utilised!

Breeding the Mare Online Course

May 13, 2015 by Christine Meunier 1 Comment

Mare Physiology is an Interesting Topic

Well I had been toying with the idea of creating educational courses through this blog relating to horses, in particular breeding. A few months ago I was made aware of the educational online platform, Udemy and their one live horse course.

The setup seemed great and I was keen to get a course up there within 30 days and so set myself the challenge. I had 90% of the content done within this time frame, but it took me a little longer than planned to get the course live.

However, the end result has been achieved! I now have a course life on the Udemy website, which you can find at Breeding the Mare.  This link is a discounted version, so if you know of anyone who has an interest in learning mare physiology, point them towards the above link!

PerformAir – Animal Transport Ventilation

May 8, 2015 by Christine Meunier Leave a Comment

PerformAir – Ventilation for Your Equine Vehicle

I’ve recently been made aware of this company and although I hadn’t even considered it as a possible horse related career, it is a great one!

The horse’s respiratory system is a delicate one and it’s important that they get proper ventilation wherever they are housed.  With domesticated horses, we often travel them in floats or trucks, keep them in stables and other confined areas where quality ventilation can come into question.

PerformAir – Animal Transport Ventilation have this issue covered when it comes to transporting the equine.  It’s a great looking add on to your float or truck!

PerformAir continues to invest in the research, development and commercialisation of technologies that provide improved welfare conditions for animals during road transport.
