Going Solar

September 17, 2012 by Christine Meunier 3 Comments

The Sun Generates Useful EnergyI rather like the idea of self sufficiency and sustainability.

A friend shared a link on facebook and who knows, perhaps these products will be something worth looking into once I’m running a property with hubby!

Making use of solar power it is possible to set up:

  • electric fencing
  • automatic gates
  • water pumps

I’ve had some solar lights in the garden and love a property nearby that has them lining their long, long driveway.  When driving past at dusk it looks wonderful!  If interested in these ideas or products, check out Hybrid Solar Wind Power.

Those are some fine products in that link. I agree, solar is definitely the way to go. The cost of PV technology is dropping so fast that it’s become much more quick to payback the initial cost of the panels. There’s no better time to invest in solar than now… particularly with rising electricity prices.
