Recently at work I was preparing a new unit for students. One external link that I hadn’t noticed before led to the website for SpinalVets.
Now this led to a site promoting Ian Bidstrup and his equine work. About 15 years ago I was introduced to Ian’s work whilst studying horse breeding. It seems he is still very actively involved in the horse industry.
“SpinalVets are a relatively new breed of Veterinarians who have dual university qualifications in Veterinary Science and Chiropractic Science. Often SpinalVets also have post graduate qualifications in Acupuncture as well as training in Osteopathic techniques. They are very positioned to provide a holistic approach to animal health, being able to provide both traditional and alternative or “intergrative” veterinary medicine/surgery.
This site is owned by Dr Ian Bidstrup and is principally here to provide the horse and dog owning public with knowledge of common spine related animal conditions which are found to be clinically responsive to neurological “re-programming”, as can be done via spinal adjustments and acupuncture. We hope you find the content both enlightening and useful.”
I love coming across new horse career websites. This is especially so if they are promoting a niche or new market in the equine industry. There really is just so much that you can consider if you want an equine related career.
If you have an interest in pursuing veterinary science focused on horses, then perhaps SpinalVets may also be of interest.
